About CelebrateYou
Why we built CelebrateYou — the story behind personalized songs for the people you love.

It started with a birthday we almost forgot
A few years ago, one of us nearly missed the meaning of his grandfather's 80th birthday. The card felt hollow, the gift felt generic, and the words he'd planned somehow didn't say what he actually wanted to say.
That night, he wrote his grandfather a song. He couldn't sing, couldn't play an instrument, and the recording was rough — but his grandfather cried, and played it again, and again.
That was the moment a song stopped being "music" and became a keepsake.
Why a song?
Think about the gifts you still remember. Almost always, they're the ones made for you — the mixtape, the handwritten letter, the silly drawing on the fridge. The things that took time, and that no one else could have given.
A song is the most emotional gift there is — it's built from someone's name, your shared memories, the inside jokes only the two of you understand. But having one written used to mean hiring a studio, paying thousands, and waiting weeks. So almost no one did.
We wondered: what if anyone could give that — in five minutes, for the price of a decent bottle of wine?
So we built CelebrateYou
CelebrateYou turns a few personal details — who they are, the moments you share, the things you've been meaning to say — into an original song, written and sung just for them. No musical talent required. Just a story, and someone you love.
We use AI to write the lyrics, compose the melody, and record the vocals — but the heart of every song is still human. It comes from the details only you would know.
Every song comes as two takes, so you can pick the one that feels right. Add a cover and a personal note. And when you share it, the person you made it for gets to open it like a gift — envelope and all.
What we believe
- Gifts should be personal. A generic "Happy Birthday" song isn't a gift. A song with their name and your memories is.
- Everyone has a story worth singing. You don't need to be a musician — you just need to care about someone.
- The best gifts are kept. That's why every song is yours to download and play forever.
Where we're headed
We started with birthday songs. But people ask us every week about anniversaries, weddings, new babies, graduations — so that's where we're going. A song for every moment that matters.
If there's someone in your life who deserves a song, make them one. It takes five minutes, and they'll have it forever.
